RAISING MONEY FOR CANCER RESEARCH

Run by a committee, the WA Mack Muster and Truck Show is a grassroots organisation that started as a dream and was built into reality by a small group of dedicated individuals passionate about the Transport industry and raising money towards cancer research.

The WA Mack Muster and Truck Show aims to provide a unique community event in Western Australia that unites the Transport industry bringing truck enthusiasts together in a real “Muster” environment at the beautiful Quarry Farm in Byford, WA – And raising money for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research.

The founding idea for a Mack Muster in WA stemmed from WA Limestone Director Steve Della Bona and CTS Low Loaders Director Jason Clatworthy, who share a love for Mack trucks and are both Mack Value-Liner owners. They had an idea about hosting a small get-together displaying their Mack trucks in a paddock with some beers and a BBQ along with several other Mack enthusiasts. This idea took off! They established a committee, and the WA Mack Muster and Truck was born. It evolved from just Mack to a full blown Truck Show for all brands.

The inaugural 2020 WA Mack Muster and Truck Show was a huge success! 140 trucks from across Australia were on display and more than 3,500 spectators attended the show, raising a total of $100,000 for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research and the Cancer 200 Ride for Research. The second show in 2022 raised the bar again with 214 trucks on display, over 6,500 spectators in attendance and raising $250,000 for the Perkins! A huge effort by this wonderful industry.
